Research in parts book and on my 70 and 71/72/73 Type 3s show 1970-on models used same motors on LHD and RHD. Before that, they were different on LHD and RHD. 1970 (long nose, but old dash) have wipers parked on left, 1971-on are parked on right. This agrees with what you noticed; above are all RHD, so it seems it makes no difference after '69. Dave.
