My 2p worth: Don't paint over beading in position. As the plastic moves, it will crack at the edges and look wrong. Get the paint into the gap (unless they paint the wings off the car) and fit the beading after. Black on white is not bad (black rubber trim round windows and gaskets on lights). If you want to paint the beading, mask and use an air-brush; the odd bit of touching up if paint chips off the beading will not look as bad as the cracks all along the plastic edge from painting both at once.
