I'm told 'we're' supposed to use the braided hose, as it lasts longer than unbraided hose (in air-cooled systems). That and maybe it's less likely to really blow when it cracks? I don't know anymore. I've just been xenophobically replacing all my unbraided hose like some zombie. Somebody told me once, and I've just been doing it since. If I'm wrong, I apologise... -----Original Message----- From: Park, Keith J (CRD) [SMTP:parkkj@crd.ge.com] Sent: Tuesday, 20 October 1998 9:14 To: type3@vwtype3.org Subject: RE: [T3] fuel line replacement Im a bit stumped... Fuel line replacement is easy and yes you can use the 5/16 standard as long as its rated for 60psi or more and it will fit fine. I DONT like the original cloth covered stuff though, with the cloth on the outside it is unprotected and can rot, the lines dont hold up as long. Brake fluid is a rubber lubricant and wont hurt the rubber. Be careful as its a good paint stripper too.\ Keith ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
