Re: [T3] (G) Light

Ok i cant take voltage readings today but i will get to that tomorrow. I
have to get to work now. But all of the parts i took off of my other car
is all new. I replaced everything i took off of it basically because
thats what i kept doing to keep it going. But i looked at this manual i
scanned in and it dont really have anything in it about the charging
system or anything. But i will do up on some voltages tomorrow and fill
you in.

If you hooked the poor VW up backwards but say you changed the Gen. and
voltage regulator, Is there anything ense you could fry. Because i dont
know to much history about this car but it has 60K original miles on it.
You never know what some kid (Previous owner) did to it. Im not familiar
with the electrical half well with how it charges. Becides he could never
get it running. Now im driving the thing to work everyday. hehe. And by
the time i do some voltage readings my bettery will probably be dead from
having my headlights on and stuff. But i will inform you.

Could it be possible that the generator would need polarized? I read
about that before. Im just trying to figure out this problem. Could any
wires that may be off of the starter be a problem (Not counting the
ground). Im trying to think of every possibility possible. Let me know
jim you seem to be the man. I'm getting there.
