John, I think with all that neglecting your Variant drove very nicely when I had the opportunity this summer. I think I invented neglecting vintage VW's the way i treat my daily driven '67 SB and my former '68 beetle (in a wet climate with salt on the road in the winter). But I think this is the true craftmanship from Volkswagen; with a minumum of maintainance my VW's never let me down in the seven years i have driven them, bring me everywhere (even in Zagreb, Kroatia) and give a lot more fun driving than the new stuff. I'm going to pay the price for this neglect but hell, my car earned it! Richard Visser '67 SB The Hague, Holland ------------------------------------------------------------------- Too much?
