The Type 4 ECU will be needed. It may run with a Type 3 ECU (I know the opposite is true, at idle anyway) but, for a start, you will be injecting for too short a time for the larger capacity of the Type 4. It will not run properly. There should be a support bar anyway, but I don't think it is quite in the same place on the Type 3, so some adaptation will be needed there. Dave.
