The modulator with the B change code was used on the type IV. Makes sense too. To you folks needing type III and IV specific mechanical parts: do a junkyard tour, preferably in California. Type III and IV parts are virtually free, since we are so few. I am the only guy that ever picks type III parts from a local (50mls) junkyard and I get them basicly for free or a symbolic amount. The only problem is that I have to use a machete to get to the parts. No fun in the summer (this is Alabama). Nobody EVER asks for type III auto trannies and they are lying all over the place ( I estimate 20 - 50 $ a piece). Since an A/T rebuilding Kit is $90 I consider auto trannies on the Type III and IV to be no problem.
