The list below is VW colours for 61 to 74 (the years Type 3s or 4s were made for). There are others for Ghias (painted elsewhere). Sorry, I don't have the info for earlier or later handy (I've a book somewhere, so I'll get round to it sometime. The Factory colour is the number on their documents and in the brochures. Remember, model year is 3rd digit of chassis no, unless its fewer than 9 figures.
