The later pistons are bigger diameter; you can't use the same
rebuild kit as seal and dust seals are bigger; the piston retaining
plate is larger and the pads are too (not just thicker).

If you put new early calipers on, the braking will be better than
changing everything from an old assembly, I reckon.
