[T3] t-o bearing arm question

Im in a jam, and hoping someone can give me some input!
I pulled the motor earlier this week because I heard some
crazy noise and experienced some chatter from "stop" to "go.."
I found that the throw out bearing(swing axle tranny in 67 square)
is trashed--bearings missing, sorta mangled, no grease....
*Also--the arm that it rides on fits into the housing/ rides on
some bushings--they are worked....
-How does the "arm" come out w/out the aid of a sawzall?
-How do the bushings go back in w/out getting mangled?
-Am I missing something here?
