We went thorugh this about a year ago when Keith Park sent me one that had rusted through. I cut it open and found that it was completely empty. No screen or any kind of damping material. The walls are stiff enough that the rubber hose will do much more for damping than this steel cylinder. Plus, you're right on the money about the roller pump's lack of pulses. Most other D-Jetronic cars don't have them.
