>From what I understand, the aforementioned gizmo tells the ECU that the
engine's under load, and the ECU tells the FI to dump fuel.  The engine
can't burn that much gas (beings' the engine's not really under that much
load), fuel buildup in and on the cylender walls is the result.  This
eventually breaks down the viscosity of the oil in the case, and either
rings seize, or this mystical scoring (that I've never heard of before).
Sounds logical to me.

But then, I let it happen.  But I got a really tremendous education in
D-Jetronic from this guy Don in San Antonio.  If anybody's in town, he's
invaluable.  He's a former VWOA instructor (1968-1974), and pretty cool.
