Tandem master cylinders started in type 3s in 67. 68-9 used a unique one, then 70-1got a new version that was improved (new switches/logic.) 72-3 has a different outlet pattern. The only style that is available as a replacement is the 72-3 version which will retrofit all the earlier years if you also replace the LF hard line at the same time. These are all disk/drum systems, but they will work on earlier cars if you don't mind changing a few lines, too, and want the extra margin of safety that the tandem system brings.
