I just got some W8APs to replace my W8ACs only because that's all they had around here in Brooklyn. (You know, New York SUCKS for keping up an old Type III - I have to call Bill & Steves because NOONE here has 2-1/4" hose to go to my heater boxes. . I digress. The size of those plugs is the same. I'm with Scott on this one. This is not something that should be fudged. Use the right parts and as Jim says,fix the problem not the symptom.
