I have a 1970 fastback which I have been restoring since I bought it in '95. Unfortunately I have had some problems with leaks in my car almost every time it rains. I used to have a leak in both driver and passenger sides but was able to stop the leak in the drivers side by putting silicon around the window rubber, but yet I still have a leak in the passenger side which has a lot of water pouring out onto the carpet. There is a crack on the passenger side of the winshield which goes down to the rubber and I notice a build up of water in the glass. Is the leak due to the winshield and rubber or is there another possible reason such as the vents? I also have this problem in the boot of the car where water leaks into the boot, I believe through the door onto the mat covering the engine. Does that rubber need replacing?
