Hi Volks- In the monstrous preparation for my upcoming paint job on our 1968 Square (call me WCM poster boy :) and with my general TIII fanaticism I decided to buy a complete sqbk as a parts car. I found a bone stock 69 with very good (not perfect but no bondo) fenders and hood (my initial and primary interest) that I talked down to $350. Hehe don't have to worry about finding rocker moulding clips anymore, to say the least! My question is this: In looking forward to parting it out slowly in the future as I need parts, which, of the 1969 parts listed below, are compatible with my car (a 1968) or would be upgrades that don't require modification. I'm sure about most things, but these things below are things I don't want to mess with taking off the parts car if they will be incompatible. Brake parts (drums, discs, calipers, master cyl) Wiper Motor Gauges/Speedo cable Gas tank fuel injection system (who knows! I have carbs now, but u never know when I'll get nostalgic!) steering box/front end (I already know the rear end it totally different). Also, anyone know which parts I need to take off the 1969 to install the rear window defroster system in the 68? Thanks!
