Yes, most sane people would just unplug the unit from the harness...I can't believe some idiot, and I do mean IDIOT, would cut all those wires! The only junk yards I've been to are the U-Pull-It in Tigard (I believe there's one on the East side) and some junkyard in south Seattle (where I got my A/C system). Dude, good luck finding a junk yard that has a Type III, and if you find one lemme know! :) Yer just gonna have to let yer fingers do the walking. Just an addendum to Keith's message: If you switch to a different version control unit it would be best to use the sensors of the same year. So, since you don't want to incur any more expenses I would recommend getting the same year control box as your car so the sensors will match. If you run into problems or need help gimme a ring as I have no [interesting] life. I might note that I do own the 1218 fuel injection tester that I'm dying to use...
