>At one time not to long ago, both of these things worked fine and the only thing I have done differently is install a new horn, one that works.... or should anyway. I also had the horn button that the guy had wired in under the dash removed because the one in the steering wheel wasn't functional. What do you think? You think the short is in the steering wheel, the horn button that was wired in was spliced on the hot ignition wire.... guy was a real genius. That whole mess is gone, and I am fairly sure I had brakelights after that, but who knows now... it was a while ago. A good friend of mine replaced the steering wheel in his Polo and consequently had to rewire the horn which he managed with only a small error. After the new wheel was installed, he took the car for a spin but after 1/2 mile, the car started to smoke and then caught fire and burnt to a crisp in less than 2 minutes. I have also had horn/light electrical problems in an often waterlogged Suzuki SJ410. I would guess that the short in your T3 will almost certainly be related to your new horn.
