Right idea, Wrong direction? If you had six cylinders, then 2 went away, the tach would now see 2 pulses per rev rather than 3, and think that the engine was going SLOWER? (I think they actually measure the time between pulses, invert, integrate, and so forth, but the end result's the same) Toby B > OK, stoopid postoolit time: is it possible that this tach is for a 6 > cylinder engine, you know, like a BMW/Porsche type application?
