Some many weeks ago I phoned The Performance Parts Warehouse in New York to inquire about purchasing a pair of new 34 ICT Weber carbs. The person answering the phone seemed terribly annoyed to even have to talk to me and waste his time answering my stupid questions...like, do you have these in stock ready for shipment? Being assured that the 34s were indeed in stock, I express mailed a cashier's check for PROMPT, QUICK, FAST service. Some four or five weeks having passed with no UPS shipment, I telephoned the company again...and was told that the carbs were BACKORDERED!...no, no, they had not been in stock at the time of my first phone call, where in the world did I get that information??? I now have my new long block...sans carbs... holding down my garage floor. Silly old me, I would love to put my engine in my SqBk and DRIVE! Okay, finally to the point...has anyone else out there dealt with The Performance Parts Warehouse in New York? What kind of reception/service did you receive? I would like to give the company the benefit of the doubt that my situation was just an unfortunate aberration, but... at this moment I would warn others on this list to be cautious of doing business with them. Anyone have a similar or different experience with these nice folks??? Phil dillard@suu.edu
