T3: T3s: Converting AT to MT?

Has anyone out there ever actually done a nice conversion of an AT T3 
to MT?

I'd like to know if the center hump on an AT car already has the 
bulkhead that the shift rod plastic bushing fits into.

Do I need to cut out the area in front of the MT for access to the 
shift rod coupler, or is that hole already there in the AT cars?

Can I get the shift rod installed with the front axle beam in place?

I already know that I will have to add a clutch cable tube.
