Well.....just to put my 2 pennies in, this seems like a fantastic idea. My only concern with the idea is with the VW Type3 geniuses we have in this group(answer guys). I'm pretty new at the vw thing....and I have lots of questions, and I would not want to be the person.....in my area.....that has to deal with me and everyone else in my area. This group we are in....is loaded with nice, talented, very honest helpful individuals, but it might not be fair to burden them specifically when there are 20 others who can answer there questions. The part about helping another fellow vw friend in your area is great......I'm talking about the hands on kind. I'd much prefer to meet another enthusiast in person....then to bother them all day by e-mail. I'm probably making no sense at all.....but I just wanted to voice my concern that the answer man is not your personal mechanic. He can sure help you.....but he can't build your car for you. Another good thing like Damian said was.....finding out there are other Type3ers in your area. When I heard that there was a Connecticut show and at this time they are expecting 30 + Type 3's, I was beyond happy to find out that 2 hours away where 30 cars. Sorry for the negativity.....really....I'm not that bad. I smile all day long every day. I've been on the list for over six months now and only found out yesterday that I'm less than 20 minutes away from another listee. I found this out by accident after reading the "Wanted" section in the Classifieds. I think we should arrange the Help List as follows ( an example) :- 1. A section for each country with list members in it 2. followed by a list of states (USA definitely/UK possibly/countries with fewer members excepted) 3. followed by a list of towns/cities of listees 4. Finally a list of the willing parties with all their details much as Jake Kooser described:- Name(Mandatory), EMail address(Mandatory), Normal address (optional), City (Mandatory), Home&Work phone numbers(optional), then a list of what you can offer to fellow list members The layout would look like this:- -1 (Country) -2 (State) -3 (Town/City) -4 (Listee) -4 -4 -3 -4 -4 -4 -3 -4 -4 -4 -2 -3 -4 -4 -4 -3 -4 -4 -4 -3 -4 -4 -4 I hope you get the general idea The Registry should be a completely seperate thing , a record of listees cars, specs, model, etc, plus maybe some personal details and a photo of listees car( with listee in picture an option). Can anyone add anything or suggest a different approach? Damian
