Re: re-chroming bumpers

I had a moron back into me and another rear end me, I was quoted $250
>from a local outfit for straightening and rechroming for both. I've
refitted early chrome overrider bumpers to my '71, kind of hard
finding replaceements in good shape, took five years to find these.
Haven't had it done yet, may be higher now. In a month or so, it will
be warm enough to take the doors off, strip and paint them, so I'll
see about having it done then. There's a lot of hand work involved
with straightening them up and polishing them out, I wouldn't do it
for $500.
