Text item: Text Item Okay, as many of you know I'll be getting five-speed tranny next month and I'm going to install it myself. Looking through my Bentley I see that they recommend that I drop the engine and tranny together. Well, I would rather just drop the tranny. So, for those who have done this procedure, what should I do? Follow the Bentley and drop it all or is it fairly easy to just drop the tranny? Either way, do you have any recommendations? Currently the engine does not contain oil and I will be draining the oil from the tranny before I remove it. Don't forget about re-installation tips as well! I will also be replacing the shifter coupler bushings but am wondering what to use. Should I stay stock or would urethane or polyurethane or some super plastic be longer lasting?
