I have a 1962 notchback which is in the process of being restored. It has long studs on the cylinder heads. In "How to keep your VW Alive", John Muir suggests that you have VW put in a 'Stud Kit" which actually puts in Short Studs? Maybe? What's the benefit of changing the studs? Anybody done it?
