T3: PTC Ceramic Heater & Fan Question - Please Help? :(

My husband bought me a wonderful portable heater/fan that plugs into 
the cigarrette lighter for my '69 Fastback.....the problem is...I 
don't know if the car will handle the amp drain, I can't find any 
reference to it in the owner's manual.  Once running, the heater 
requires approximately 10 amps, but when it starts it requires 15 - 
20 amps.  Can my car handle this??  Yes/No/Why?  Alternatives?  My 
car windshield fogs up something terrible on cold damp mornings and 
nothing seems to remedy it.

Can anyone help?
