OK list I have a question for ya. I'm putting together a motor for my 72' squareback. Car was built in January of 72'. I purchased a block for it engine number---UO357148 (70'). Engine is dual relief just in case anyone questioned that. Is there anything I should know or do differently to this case that I need to in order for me to keep that sacred 7.3:1 ratio. (sorry for that run on sentence) Or anything .....this is my first build up. I'm keeping it the stock 1600 with FI. All components will be balanced. Any recommendations on connecting rods? I have a 009.....should I use it?.....I've been hearing people question it. Next issue......If anyone is in the Northeast .....I will be selling my 72' fastback very very soon. 4 speed with dual 34 webbers. Last issues......At an earlier date I mentioned a BARN FULL OF PARTS!!!! I don't recommend this fellow to anyone. He was a real ASS! ( body panel and parts were not good at all......everything was neglected and he wanted a fortune) I also mentioned another gentlemen......having a load of parts South of me in New Jersey. This fellow comes highly highly recommended. He has allot of older type3 parts.....but not later with the exception of maybe tail lights. The good news for us is he knows someone that has rare....rare Type3 parts. I will be getting that phone number very soon. After I talk to him.....I'll give the number out!! :^)
