Of course. I have a friend here who drives one.

As someone else hinted: sure, if you don't mind less efficient cooling, 
more noise, and the loss of cargo space.  I think people do this just to 
avoid what they imagine is a big hassle with T3 engines.  My pal 
mentioned above recently purchased the car, refuses to open his decklid 
at events, and is gathering parts to build a proper T3.

Only if you're sure you want to piss off everyone on this list who has FI. 
That stuff is valuable! Have you reason to think the FI system is bad? 
Have you reason to think those Webers are better? Why are you doing this?
