If the FI works well, or is only a little rough, keep it. Carbs are less efficient, harder to start and just plain fussier than a good FI system. If the FI is on the fritz and you can fix it for the cost of your carbs and the labor to install, KEEP THE FI! Of course this only applies if you plan on keeping the displacement of the motor stock (1600cc), otherwise this little letter would be moot.
