Axle Boot Repair Question

Hello All,

While I was replacing my starter, I noticed one of the axle boots
(swing-axle) was cracked and leaking.  Glad I caught it.   I am going to
replace both sides this weekend.  Any hints or suggestions about what I
should look out for and what to do for the hang-ups that always seem to
happen?  By the way, it appears that they are the original 31 yr. old
boots, since they are not split.
