Phillip has the same symptoms as Charlie mentions, plus popping out of reverse under load, and popping out of 2nd if you don't hold it when downshifting. It turns out that the bracket that holds the plastic shift bushing (under the stick) has broken loose. I havn't had a chance to look around in there to see what it looks like. However, in an old back issue of some magazine I saw a new replacement bracket that bolts in (welds in?). Does anyone know were to get this bracket and if it really has to be welded in?
