[T3] '73 broken back

Well.. you all may or may not remember... I bought a '73 square that
had been sitting for two years... didn't run... was having fuel pump
probs....
Just this weekend I threw a new pump in.... replaced some fuel lines
and wammo.... started right up... idled just fine.... I even drove it
around ye old barn a few times.... got it back to the barn and noticed
it was bleeding oil like crazy..... PO said when he parked it he
thought the flywheel was loose and making a terrible racket from the
engine....
the guy who's helping me out with this project says the flywheel could
have oblonged and messed up the crank while breaking the main seal
around it... dumping oil everywhere... including into the trans...
that could explain why it was slipping too.... he suggested we pull
the engine.... so that's my next project on the square....
while I'm at it... I was thinking of tainting the engine a bit... just
to add a little more power.... what's the quickest and cheapest way to
do that??.... i.e. new heads, cam.....???if it's really bad inside
there I'll probably go all the way with a new motor.....

I here my father calling me....

Robert "..come to the dark side my son...." Braun
'73 out of commission back

p.s. to all the vintage stockers out there... I'm right there with
ya.... if the PO didn't already start the custom job I would have done
stock job.... but a '73 with '64 tail fenders is getting off on the
wrong foot... and I kinda like the fenders... if it was a '64 I'd of
gone stock.... who knows... maybe I'll change it back.. but untill
then.... I'm looking at ragtops.... (hey Toby where'd ya get yours...
how much?..)
