To all, Please do not post off-topic messages to our Type III list. This includes jokes, virus warnings, holiday greetings and just about anything that's got a subject that begins "FWD: Re: Fwd..." Also remember that non-Type III automotive posts are also considered off-topic! Also, and perhaps most importantly: 1) Edit your replies *HEAVILY*; 2) Don't post idle chatter or "me too" notes to the whole list. Follow up in person; and 3) Don't even *think* of doing both 1) and 2) at the same time! There is usually very little need to quote previous posts, except for a few lines. Remember, all but the very newest subscriber has seen the message you're replying to. I can configure the list to reject replies that include more than X lines of quoted messages, but I'd rather not go through the trouble! Also, idle chatter seems to have been on the increase lately. I'm glad folks are friendly, but please reply directly with such messages instead of to the list.
