this poem is so true! i was stationed in okinawa and now in germany and
it is very lonely especially when you fresh out of high school and your
overseas away from family and friends for the first time. germany is not
bad because they celebrate christmas. in japan they do nothing. they
know about the holiday but, only because americans celebrate it. you do
not see christmas lights on house like in the states and you do not even
see snow like most northern US states. i loved living their but, i was
glad when my time was up.
