before you do anything, check the wing adjusting nut and the free-play in the pedal. what happens when a clutch disk wears out is the throw-out bearing moves closer to the pressure plate fingers and thus you lose all your free-play. adjust the wing nut before you do anything and then you can worry about all the other stuff. the free-play in the pedal should be about 3/4 inch and you will find out how much you want when you are adjusting it. bottom line, there has to be free-play so you dont wear out the clutch disk prematurly and not so much play that the clutch cant fully disengauge. hans 73' thing 70' square ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
