If you are running 12 volt into 6 volt choke heaters, they will
probably both be burned out, and so will not open when warm;
this will increase the fuel consumption a lot, and make it run quite
roughly.
Do I now understand the engine has been transferred from a 6 volt
car?  Is the coil the 12 volt one?  I hope so.  What about the
little barrels on the carbs that have wires onto them, or doesn't it
have those?  They would need to be 12 volt too.
