Re: [T3] Sound Off TYPE III Fans

Toby,
Personaly I have had 18 VWs and only 2 haven't been titled and
insured...It's the need to constantly tinker, I think! If I had the
family histry in my rides that you have with your Square, if might be
different. I enjoyed everyone I owned, except the bus and parts car.
Just have a need to change.

They have been:
67 Beetle--stock 1300, beat up--driven daily in college
69 Ghia--nice, but not for me--traded for
65 Beetle--driven for a month, then I found the world of the TYPE
3--sold to buy
72 Fastback--very rough, traded for the 1st Dark Side!
68 Baja Square w/1641cc and Pro Fogger, full roll cage--hammered into
the ground--college car
62 Notchback...rustdeath was solid compared to this car, drove from
Seattle to Boise several times, drove daily--sold to go back to college
Meyers Manx....rolled and sold, driven daily-even in winter
77 Baja Rabbit! paid 25 bucks for it, drove daily--traded for
Austin-Healey
67 Square---bone stock--weekend car--traded for GoldWing
63 Bus...traded 2 days after titled for fastback
65 Fasty...very dark w/stock engine--fun and an attention getter, wasn't
for sale when sold--driven daily, sold for Notch project
64 Notch--68 Auto pan never finished its medimorphisis to the dark
side--drove a little, not much, traded with others for current car
71 Square w/1641 dual webers, EMPIs, perfect interior--great driver/
15,000 a year, but traded for the crew
62 Crew cab--IRS, disks, 12v, lowerd, velour interior--driven daily
about 12,000--sold to buy another T3
67 Square, stock unrestored with new 1600, dual dells--driven, but
traded for current ride
67 Square for parts--traded for current ride
72 Fastback--Drove for a week and sold, guy had to have it
64 Notch custom--taken on trades of above plus my cash--driven as often
as possible

Everyone loves there cars different ways...I have been accused of being
purely a capitalist, but I enjoy each car while I own it!
