I think France and some of the former French colonies use yellow lenses on headlamps. If visiting France, you're OK without the yellow lamps. Many newer cars just use yellow tinted bulbs rather than changing the lenses these days (so did the Type 3s). As the rest of Europe all use white, I doubt the practice will continue much longer.
