Why not try ported heads, counterweighted crank, stock cam and 1600. If done carefully, it can yield great reliability and OE economy, as well as increased power when called for. Shim the valve springs for equal compressed height and use the Berg swivel foot rocker adjusters. Add a full flow oil filter and get better than stock longevity.
