RE: [T3] Notch work

Going on what was talked about when I was on the Porsche 914 list:
1. New tires! In fact, buy a second set of expensive, sticky tires already
mounted on lighter rims that you use strictly for auto-xing.
2. Anti-sway bar up front and stiffer springs in the rear. Naturally, and
IRS
suspension is preferred over the swing-axle because of over-camber in turns.
If
you were to put a limited-slip differential (LSD) in the tranny then you
would
also use a stiff anti-sway bar in the rear. There are those who use the
anti-sway bar in the rear anyway (without a LSD).
3. Lower the ride to lower the center of gravity. This would, of course,
require stiffer shocks and possibly stiffer springs as well which would help
handling in the corners.
4. Other: Increasing engine power would definitely be needed to keep up
with
the modern engines and/or regearing the tranny to make best use of the
torque
curve in gears 1, 2 and maybe 3 with the wheel combination used.

Remember, the ultimate auto-xer would suck as a daily driver, heck, it'd
probably suck every where but the track!

Springs in our situation means torsion bars (same difference).
