The whole procedure is laid out in the Bentley factory service manual, about $40. You need it anyway if you're going to work on the thing. Think long and hard about doing any suspension alterations from stock settings for purely cosmetic reasons, it will drastically affect ride and handling and you are legally liable in an accident. The first time I reset ride height on the rear it took most of a three-day weekend, everything was rusty and it took a long time to get bolts loosened up. You end up just about disassembling the whole suspension back there to get the spring plates loose and if you don't have the factory tool(made from a standard VW jack), it takes even longer. Nastiest job on the whole vehicle, in my opinion.
