Engine appears to be a USA spec 1600 fuel injection, made in about
September 1971 and original car vin# starts 312-2xxxxxx (Fastback)
or 362-2xxxxxx (Squareback).

I can't find Bosch distrib. number in the Factory manuals, only VW
for twin carb.  If no-one comes up with it to check, I'll go and
find one to read it off.
