Hey Folks, It's been a while! The regulator went on the '68 tonight on the way home. Scared the heck outta me. The red light went on, so I pulled off the freeway thinking the belt broke. Nope! I slowly got going again and the red light stayed on. I thought I heard something in the back seat. I rolled up the windows to block out the road noise. Yup, the nasty ticking and buzzing of a bad voltage regulator reared it ugly head. So, now the question. I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this, but I'll ask anyway. Will a 12 volt regulator from a Type 3 work on the '68 Type 1? I think it'll do until I find a new one. Thanks!
