Increase the stroke of the engine -- how far the piston travels in and out. This also helps low-end torque. Also by using larger diameter pistons. I had both done to my engine. If more power is desired cc's aren't always the way to go. Increasing compression will boost hp as will turbo and nitrous-oxide systems. I always advocate FI, too. Consult with an experienced and reputable performance engine builder as they can be very helpful in determining what's needed to satisfy your desires.
