Where the condenser is right now, there's nowhere else for it to go. Either the gen is in the way or else the condenser blocks that little hole in front of the fan. As I said, it used to be in the engine that way, but last summer the car started stalling in the heat. I took it to my mechanic at the time (a VW nut) and he noticed the cond. blocking this little hole. He gave the distrib a slight turn to clear the passage and eveything ran fine since then. Of course, at the time I didn't know anything about VWs, otherwise I would have interrogated him about the consequences of what he did... The point is, how can I correct the angle with this damn condenser on the left side? Every distributor illus. in Bentley shows the condenser on the right of the breaker plate. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
