I'm SOOoo confused! Definitely LONG, possibly BORING

Hey Volks, as you may (or may not) know, my new cool job (cool because I
can actually afford to work on my VWs) has an annoying tendency to cause
me to slip off the edge of the planet for uncertain amounts of time.
Once I get my laptop sorted out and set up for remote e-mail, this won't
be so much of a problem. Basically, I'm lost here on the list. I was
gone for 27 days, and then another week after 5 days at home. And now,
the stoopid questions...

1) I had made some connections to possibly get a fresh air box (the
ventilation system under the dash) for my '71 Squareback, and was
looking for a fresh air vent. I think Keith Park may have had those,
correct me if I'm wrong, but I would like to make some deals if anyone
has those parts.

2) Also, did Aaron Britcher get the venetians made, and how much is that
in Yankee dollars?

3) I need to know if anyone knows about the availability of rust repair
panels for the INNER body panels on my Square, i.e. inner front fender
wells, rear fender wells in the back seat area. Some photos are
available at http://www.autobodybyfrank.com in the restoration section,
I think. The body shop dude, Frank, says they can fabricate new panels,
but since this "simple" paint job is already in the 2 Kilobuck range,
I'd like to take a more economical approach.

4) The idea of a Type III registry was tossed around, and I kind of
psuedo-volunteered to try and do it. I've got a rough prototype
started, along with a handy form to input data. Someone else, I think
his name was Todd, knew how to work with Excel pretty well, and I'd like
to see if he can help me figure out how to use the data once I get it.
I'm not ready to put the page up for the masses yet, but I would like
about 5 volunteers to e-mail me and check out the form, maybe help me
test it by filling it out, and generally point out any obvious flaws or
shortcomings. E-mail me directly if you'd like to be a test pilot for
the form. I may try and get a .org domain name once I get finished,
like the type 34 registry has, any ideas on that would be appreciated.

5) Sorry Greg, I know this is pretty type III unrelated, but can anyone
give me some advice on how to properly use a scanner? What about
software, like Toby E. used to put the cool arrows and stuff on his
alternator conversion photos? I try to take photos of VWs everywhere I
go, like the UK and Canada so far, and would like to be able to scan
them and some rust photos of my Square (in the exploded view, currently)
to put on my pages. Again, please E-mail me directly so "Big Bro" Greg
won't boot us both off of the list. :-P

6) and FINALLY... Does anyone know of an affordable VW for sale in the
Miami area? It looks like the little girl (my Square) is going to be a
bit longer than planned getting her new look, so I am looking for a
'beater' to drive in the meantime. I would prefer a Fastback (or other
Type III), but would settle for a Super Beetle (yeah, I said it, it
could be a cool "Kafer Cup" style project later) somewhere in the FREE
to $1500 price range. Any leads would be appreciated.

Okay, you're probably as tired of reading as I am of typing. Thanks in
advance for anybody that needs it.

drive right away)
