I've already recounted cracking my windshield on the last push into the car, but here is the rest of the story. The local glass shop quoted me $150 for glass and $40 for labor to put in another one. After paying, I noticed on the invoice it took them 2.8 hours to do it! The cashier said there was a lot of swearing in the shop earlier that day... I was told that my WCM American style seal was real "bulky" and hard to work with, my own experience exactly. One of the tricks they use is a hot water soak to make the seal more pliable. On the day I cracked my window it was high 60's but overcast. Apparently a warm seal also lets that "chrome" aluminum trim push right in. Peter Parker '66 Square; Phillip Portland, OR
