A Crushing Experience

I went to my favorite junkyard yesterday to find out all four of the type
III's that were on the lot went to the crusher. Most likely destined to be
turned into Japanese or American cars. There ought to be a law. Dip your
chin and a moment of reflective quiet thought for a 68 FB, a 72 SQ, a 71
FB, and a 71 SQ, all with a heapin' plenty of parts that I wish I would
have taken the time to get while I had the chance.

The bright side, I guess, is that all of our vehicles are now a bit more
rare, however, parts are too. Also I saw a 411 there, and scavenged the
trigger points and some FI injector connectors.

Can anyone tell me if any of the FI parts are interchangable? If they are
I will grab them. Also, the 411 had a trailer hitch that fit nicely behind
the bumper, and fit to the back of the bumper and the brackets. The load
rating was 1100 lbs. Can anyone tell me if they would fit my 71 SQ?
(Looked as if it would)

Does anyone have any info. on where to get a head temp. gauge and a oil
press. gauge, and how much they might cost? I have a feeling that my
engine is running hot, but my nose suffered a bit from the 60's and I can't
tell if it's just an exaust problem. I will be boiling the thermostat soon
to see if that may be the problem. It stinks the most after a long uphill,
but also smells other times. Having the heater on or off seems to make no
real diff.
