If you look at the pump from a side view, you will see, :(I'm praying to the

(Whew!! I haven't done that since I was a kig on my c=64)
I didn't even realize that there was a 'spacer' until the second time I took it
apart- It is the same diameter as the motor housing and looks just like-
plus 26 years of grease and road had made it look like one peice. Loook
for the little half round cut out. I will name my second born child after
whomever tells me.
I have a feeling your going to be getting $40 in the mail soon tho, Marty...

I have one from my 68 that was working when I removed it. If you can
explain better where this spacer is I'll look at it or I'll sell the pump
for $40 +shipping.
