Roy: I'm not sure whether you have feul injection or not, but on an FI-equiped car the filter lives above the electric fuel pump in the front, under the tank. I've never had a carb-equiped car, so one of the other folks will have to help you out on that if that's what you have. When I replace gas hose, I usually do it all at one time, that way I know what condition it's all in. Just a suggestion. You might also consider pulling the tank completely, getting the outlet sock out and cleaning/replacing it. It's only a buck or so for a new one, but can save you a lot of grief in the long run, getting the sediment out of the tank doesn't hurt either. Not that big a job and you'll be good for another 100k miles.
